One of the main causes of global warming is from the use of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and natural gas, when they are burnt they release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. To combat this, countries have increased their deployment of renewable energy resources such as solar, water, wind, biomass and geothermal.
